Škoda Velothon Berlin 2010 – positive conclusion
“Our first result of the event is really positive. Although it was a long winter and this year’s race took place one month earlier than last year’s event we had almost as much registrations as in 2009. We are also very pleased that the fair and the different promotions on the stage were of high demand. On Saturday and Sunday there were about 150.000 visitors who stroll around the fair area”, said Frank Bertling, managing director of the organizer Upsolut.
Erik Zabel, sport director of the Škoda Velothon Berlin, added: “The weather god was at least till lunchtime on our side and kept the heavy rain till later. And those who got really wet could at least enjoy the nice course throughout Berlin. Furthermore the whole event has been pushed in public and we are already looking forward to the fourth edition of the Škoda Velothon Berlin.
Around 300.000 spectators followed the Škoda Velothon Berlin 2010 along the course and in the finishing area.
The date for the Škoda Velothon Berlin 2011 will probably be the weekend of the 28th and 29th of May.
